Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LIVE Teams mobile and web application and related services (the "Service"), provided by LIVE Teams ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a team, club, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough under the laws of your country to form a binding contract to use the Service on your own. The Service is intended to be administered by adults (such as coaches, organizers, and parents or guardians). Where minors participate in a team, a parent, guardian, or responsible adult is responsible for managing the minor's participation and the information shared about them.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping it current.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your phone number and device secure.
Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users, or post content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others' rights.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Service.
Use the Service to send spam or to collect others' information without consent.

5. User Content and License

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload (such as messages, posts, photos, and documents). By submitting content, you grant LIVE Teams a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you and the team or organization members you share it with. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the rights to share it.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google Firebase and Google Maps) to function. Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content or data will always be available or accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LIVE Teams and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses already granted to a team, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
